Om Raut’s highly anticipated magnum opus, Adipurush, has found itself at the center of criticism due to its shoddy visual effects (VFX) and contentious dialogues. The film, which aimed to captivate moviegoers with its grandeur, has failed to meet expectations, leaving audiences disappointed.
In particular, the dialogues penned by writer Manoj Muntashir Shukla have faced severe backlash for allegedly distorting and disrespecting the revered epic, Ramayan. The backlash has prompted Muntashir to seek police protection in Mumbai, concerned for his safety.
On June 18, Muntashir announced that certain dialogues in Adipurush would be modified in response to the mounting criticism. The backlash against the dialogues has been relentless, leading the writer to feel threatened and in need of security.

Muntashir has now formally requested security assistance from the Mumbai Police. The police authorities will carefully assess his application and make a decision regarding the provision of protection.
Adipurush, written and directed by Om Raut, is a mythological tale inspired by Valmiki’s Ramayan. The film was released in theaters on June 16 amidst great anticipation. With Prabhas essaying the role of Raghav, Kriti Sanon as Janki, Saif Ali Khan as Lankesh, Sunny Singh as Shesh, and Devdutta Nage as Bajrang, the star-studded cast aimed to bring this epic story to life.
