The breakdown of November’s collections includes ₹34,141 crore from Central GST (CGST), ₹43,047 crore from State GST (SGST), ₹91,828 crore from Integrated GST (IGST), and ₹13,253 crore from cess.

Robust Growth in Domestic Transactions

GST revenues from domestic transactions surged by 9.4% to ₹1.40 lakh crore during the month. Meanwhile, tax revenues from imports grew at a slower pace of 6%, amounting to ₹42,591 crore.

However, refunds issued during November totaled ₹19,259 crore, reflecting an 8.9% decline compared to the same period last year. Adjusted for refunds, net GST collections stood at ₹1.63 lakh crore, marking an impressive 11% increase over the previous year.

Strong Momentum in GST Collections

The trend of rising GST collections continued from October, which recorded a gross GST revenue of ₹1.87 lakh crore, the second-highest ever. October’s figures were driven by increased domestic sales and improved compliance, with ₹33,821 crore collected from CGST, ₹41,864 crore from SGST, ₹99,111 crore from IGST, and ₹12,550 crore from cess.

Fiscal Year Snapshot

For the first eight months of the fiscal year (April-November), GST collections have reached ₹14.57 lakh crore, underscoring the steady momentum in India’s indirect tax revenues.

These growing numbers reflect India’s economic resilience, the widening tax base, and the ongoing focus on compliance. The consistent rise in GST collections is expected to provide a boost to public finances and support development initiatives across the country.
