Joint Security Forces Neutralize Five Highly Trained Foreign Terrorists in J&K’s Kupwara District

In a significant operation today morning, joint security forces successfully neutralized a group of five highly trained foreign terrorists belonging to the JK Ghaznavi Force (JKGF) in Jumagund area near the Line of Control (LoC) in Kupwara district of Jammu and Kashmir. These terrorists, well-versed in guerrilla warfare in the Afghan-Pakistan theater, were attempting to infiltrate Indian territory.

The operation commenced late at midnight and concluded during the early hours of the morning. Investigations have revealed that the group was affiliated with the JK Ghaznavi Force, with two individuals identified as Rafiq Nai and Shamsher Nai, residents of Poonch district in Jammu and Kashmir, presently settled in Pakistan Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (POJK), acting as handlers. Additionally, Murtaza Pathan, also known as Ghaznvi, a resident of Faisalabad in Pakistan and a veteran of the Afghan theater, was identified as the operational commander overseeing tactical aspects from POJK. Pathan is believed to be affiliated with the Deoband school of thought.
