Despite captivating millions of hearts in the 90s, Karisma Kapoor faced personal struggles in her life. Following a tumultuous breakup with actor Abhishek Bachchan, she entered into marriage with businessman Sunjay Kapur.
However, after 11 years of matrimony, their relationship turned bitter. The couple, who had a lavish wedding ceremony in 2003, eventually separated in 2014. The aftermath of their divorce was marred by a contentious legal battle over child custody.
The renowned actress of “Dil Toh Pagal Hai” made serious allegations against Sunjay, revealing a disturbing account of their honeymoon where he attempted to coerce her into sleeping with his friends. She accused him of physical abuse and even claimed he put a price on her for auction among his acquaintances. Conversely, Sunjay argued that Karisma had married him solely for his wealth. After a two-year legal struggle, Karisma emerged victorious, obtaining custody of their children, Samaira Kapoor and Kiaan Raj Kapoor.
Time has passed, and the former couple appears to have left their troubled past behind and moved on with their lives. Recently, both Karisma and Sunjay were seen dining together in Mumbai. Karisma happily acknowledged the photographers outside the restaurant, waving at them, and their daughter Samaira accompanied them. They had previously come together to celebrate their son’s birthday.

Karisma Kapoor’s fans are delighted that she has moved forward from her past and is embracing a new chapter in her life. On the professional front, Karisma is set to make her comeback in the upcoming web series “Brown,” based on the characters Rita Brown, a suicidal alcoholic, and Arjun Sinha, a widower burdened with survivor’s guilt.
Additionally, she is reported to star alongside Sara Ali Khan in “Murder Mubarak,” scheduled for release in 2024.
