This incident has shattered the opposition’s narrative of “Dara hua Musalman” (fearful Muslim). It highlights a Hindu man’s tragic loss of life in a BJP-ruled state due to a political disagreement, wherein he firmly stood his ground by refusing to indulge in abusive language against the Prime Minister and Chief Minister.
The repercussions of this incident may extend beyond the immediate tragedy. There is a possibility that it could impact online cab companies as well. The incident serves as a reminder that such clashes over political differences could occur anywhere in India, potentially leading to Hindu customers canceling their cab rides upon seeing the Muslim identity of their assigned driver.
