Bhubaneswar: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) announced the results of the Civil Services Exam 2022
Female candidates performed better than male candidates, as they held six out of the top 10 ranks in the list.
The top four positions were secured by female candidates, with Ishita Kishor securing the first rank in the examination. Garima Lohiya, Uma Harthin, and Smriti Mishra secured the second, third, and fourth positions, respectively.
A total of 933 candidates successfully cleared the highly competitive exam for appointments in the Indian Administrative Service, Indian Foreign Service, Indian Police Service, and Central Services, Group ‘A’ and Group ‘B’.
Out of the 933 successful candidates, there were 345 candidates from the general category, 99 from the EWS category, 263 from the OBC category, 154 from the SC category, and 72 fromST.
